Tuesday @ 5:00! Tell Everyone!

We will have speakers from five distinguished organizations:
We have urged them, along with the dire, scary information, to provide some rays of hope by identifying efforts that are being made to counteract the negative impacts on our residents. In addition to the excellent program, it will be great to be together in person and to meet other people concerned about these issues!

| We Need Your Help
- Questions for the DPS School Board candidates - We are once again working with Denver Decides to provide candidate information to Denver voters. We need help coming up with the questions to ask them. What would you like to know from the candidates? Send any questions to info@lwvdenver.org by next Friday, 9/19.
- Treasurer - We are urgently looking for a treasurer, a position essential to the functioning of the LWVD. The ideal candidate would understand League processes, have knowledge of QuickBooks or another similar accounting program, have basic accounting skills, good verbal skills, the ability to prepare a budget, be able to manage a single employee payroll service, pay quarterly sales taxes, work annually with a CPA and file legal reports on time with appropriate agencies. Additionally, the Treasurer serves as a board member and presents financial reports monthly and annually. A detailed job description is available here. Please contact Bobbie Heisterkamp (bdheistkmp@aol.com) if you are interested or would like more information.
- Speakers Bureau - We need several more people to take our ballot issues presentation to the community. We provide all the necessary information and a PowerPoint presentation. This is a great way for our members to better understand the ballot and share this knowledge with others. Contact pzelarney@yahoo.com.
