Misinformation, disinformation and news deserts are not just the fault of the internet. Our November briefing will focus on what is at stake in our democracy if we lose access to local newspapers and freedom of the press. Along with freedom of speech and the right to peaceably assemble, freedom of the press has been part of the Bill of Rights since 1791, and all these rights are now under threat.
